Literature Review
For a Professional course, I conducted a literature review that examined the different interventions and treatments for acne vulgaris in adolescents living in the United States. This piece shows my ability to research a topic and then critically review the literature already published on a topic. Click on the icon to learn more about the struggles adolescents face with acne.
Epidemiology Report
For an Epidemiology course, I examined the association between rurality and opioid deaths in Georgia. This piece shows my ability to statistically analyze data so associations can be made. Click on the icon to learn more about the opioid epidemic and the statistics behind the association.
Policy Analysis
For a Health Policy and Management course, I conducted a policy analysis on the drug industry steadily increasing the prices of prescription drugs. Community Service
Compassionate Care Hospice
Volunteered at Compassionate Care Hospice which gives patients facing a terminal illness the freedom to live more comfortable lives. While there, I created admission packets for incoming hospice patients, created new PowerPoints, and assisted the nursing staff.
Extra Special People
Volunteered with ESP which is an organization that creates experiences for people with disabilities and their families. I helped with daily afternoon enrichments, the inclusive sports program, and the ESP Pageant.
Covid-19 Testing
Volunteered at COVID-19 pop-up testing events at the University of Georgia. We did surveillance testing for any students, faculty, or staff. I helped swab individuals for the virus and send the swabs off to the lab for testing.
